MIRRORS
The rearview mirror is not a flat mirror, but a convex mirror. The field of view of a rearview mirror depends on three factors: the distance between the driver's eyes and the rearview mirror, the size of the rearview mirror, and the curvature radius of the rearview mirror. The first two factors are basically fixed or uncontrollable, and the most affecting display effect is the curvature of the rearview mirror. The smaller the curvature radius of the mirror surface, the larger the reflected field of view, but at the same time, the greater the degree of deformation of the reflected object, and the farther it is from the real distance, which can easily cause the driver's illusion. Therefore, the curvature radius of the mirror surface has a limit range specified by industry standards. It also stipulates that the installation position of the exterior rearview mirror must not exceed the outermost 250mm of the car.
